Striptease 101: How to Strip for Your Lover
Reprinted from www.myfw.com

You love your partner, really you do, but you've been together for a while, and being seduced in the same way in the same room at the same time is starting to get.well.a little formulaic. You might as well watch an episode of The O.C and call it a night. Oh, to be saucy again. Demi-Moore-in-Striptease saucy. Mary Taylor, author of Bedroom Games, says stripping for your lover can help you recapture that sauciness -- and you don't have to change your name to Melanie Melons to do it.

Step 1: Get into a saucy frame of mind Before you can do a great striptease, you need to check your insecurities at the door. Tap into the power of suggestive thinking: if you think you're a bombshell, you'll act like one. Remember, your partner already likes who you are and how you look -- it's part of why he or she is with you. "Women tend to be very hard on themselves and judge themselves.the cellulite the stretch marks and all that stuff," says Taylor. "Just realizing that everybody has it and nobody's perfect makes all the difference."

Step 2: Prepare Choose a role. An easy way to develop a striptease is by first choosing an attitude to build your music, costume and routine around. Be either dominating or submissive. For example, if you want to dominate (and who doesn't sometimes?) you could be a dominatrix, nurse, tiger or cop. If you choose to be submissive, try a role such as a schoolgirl, secretary or pussycat.

A good stripper needs to dress (and undress) the part. What you wear should match the attitude you're trying to portray, says Taylor. If you're dancing to AC/DC, for example, you're not going to prance around in a pink frilly outfit. Choose something powerful in leather, black or red instead. And just because you're trying out a new persona doesn't mean that you have to buy a new wardrobe. Taylor recommends sewing some hanging beads on bras and panties you already own. Or get creative with a long strand of pearls and some satin gloves in black or white --whatever goes with your mood. Make sure you choose clothes that complement your body. If you're a busty gal, show off your cleavage. If you've got a great set of legs, stilettos are your friends.

The music you choose needs to match your role as well. If you're doing a theme show as a spy, consider music from a James Bond soundtrack. If you're dressed up in a tiger outfit, use the "Stray Cat Strut," or "Year of the Cat." If you're doing a regular striptease, sans theme outfit, you can always try stripping favourites such as "Hey Big Spender" and "Let's Get It On." Or, you can be creative and find your own signature piece. "You'll be listening to the radio in a whole different way," says Taylor.

Now that you're all dressed up, you need someplace to go. When you're deciding where to do the striptease, Taylor says. "You want to choose a room or area that you're comfortable in, but you don't want to be doing it in the bedroom. Everybody does everything in the bedroom, so I'm trying to get people to break the bedroom habit." Don't rule out the kitchen. "You'll have access to food, you have access to drinks, you can make a mess and it's easy on the ceramic tiles," explains Taylor.

Step 3: Practice your routine Now you're ready to learn some basic striptease moves. George Bernard Shaw once said that dancing was "A perpendicular expression of a horizontal desire." That means you've got to tap into your sexy fantasies to dance sexy. "The first thing you have to learn how to do is play with your boobs and stir the pot," says Taylor. Stirring the pot is not some crazy Betty Crocker fetish. "You turn your hips in a counter clockwise way, like your hips are the spoon in a pot of chicken soup and you're stirring it," she explains. "You don't have to go all the way around the pot you just have to kind of slosh the spoon around in the middle." A third basic move is the Queen's Wave. Simply arch your butt behind you, bend over with your hands on your knees, and do a figure eight with your butt. It'll drive him wild.

Step 4: On with the show! You're finally ready to make your striptease debut in front of an eager (and definitely aroused) partner. Don't worry about making a mistake during your routine. "You can't make any mistakes, because there's no right way or wrong way to do it," says Taylor. "If you fall on your butt, just start crawling around the floor like you intended to be there." Be creative and listen to the music. If all else fails, stir the pot, honey, stir the pot!
