Atchity Entertainment International (AEI) client Phil Daay (Left in Darkness) has optioned his horror script Despair'ul to Haxan Films.

Haxan includes Matt Compton, Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale, all of whom were involved in the indie horror smash hit The Blair Witch Project.

Despair'ul follows a group of students who unwittingly unleash a curse that causes the physical manifestations of their darker selves to attack them from every reflective surface.

Other genre projects AEI is producing include:

• MEG for New Line (based in the bestselling novel by Steve Alten).
• Demonkeeper for Fox 2000 (based on the forthcoming debut novel by AEI client Royce Buckingham).
• The Un-Dead, written by Ian Holt, the official sequel to Bram Stoker's Dracula.
